July 8, 2018: BEST OF THE NET NOMINATIONS!

I am excited to announce six poems I am nominating for the 2018 Best of the Net award.

From Hidden Constellation issue 1: “Brittle” by Denel Kessler, Jackie Chou’s “Father, father,” and “I don’t want to talk of bodies” by Krista Leigh Pinto. From issue 2: “Kiss Me” by Ashley Cook, Tarana Turan Rahimli’s “Praising of stone,” and “Post-Death” by Alyssa Trivett.

I wanted to nominate poems by writers who have not already been honored with a nomination in previous years. Even with that criterion helping limit my choices, the process of picking poems was difficult, as I am a fan of every writer so-far published in Hidden Constellation.

I congratulate each nominee and have my fingers crossed for your success in the Best of the Net selection process for 2018.

July 5, 2018:  ISSUE 3’S READING PERIOD ANNOUNCED!

The reading period for issue 3 of Hidden Constellation runs from 7/15/2018 to 8/31/2018.

See our Submission Guidelines tag in the Menu section.

I am interested in trying to include visual poetry in issue 3. This could be a poem literally written-out in cursive with a crayon, black-out poetry, and so on.

I will be using between 25 and 35 poems in issue 3.

I look forward to reading your works!
